edit 5/27/12: was coloring a new pic of Jack, and realized I had two different color schemes for his hands...so I let hubby choose, and he chose golden fur, instead of russet...which is good, cuz I could change this one easier then the ones colored with pencils!

This is a scene from my OC Jack Derenger's past...a stolen moment with his little brother Jaith, who is from ~dragonsong12's webcomic Twisted Mirrors. My hubby created Jack for the mmorpg City of Heroes, using the Boetheri of Twisted Mirrors as Jack's race. When I met ~dragonsong12 here at DA and introduced her to Jack, she loved the idea of his being a wandering Boetheri, and later gave us permission for Jaith-rin to be Jack's younger brother (unofficially of course...Jack won't be making any sudden portal-hopping appearances in Twisted Mirrors! )
Jack's family were slaves, and were eventually separated, Jaith going on to be a co-star of a great web-comic, lol, and Jack to go on a portal-hopping journey through various game worlds, until he lands in Paragon City, RI, and meets the love of his life. Here the boys have snuck away to relax by the river, and little Jaith has even caught a frog! In my head, I can hear little Jaith saying, "We'll always be together, right Jahk?" and young Jahk replies, "Of course, Jaith." But here comes the foreman, to tell those lazy kids to get back to work! In fact, (gasp) this could very well be the last time the boys get steal away together before they get sold off!

edit: 02/09/12 well crud, I just realized Jack's hands are supposed to be his lighter color, duh! lol oh well, maybe I'll change it or maybe I'll ignore it, )
